design office furniture

Manerba new showroom will be opening in via Melzo 7, Milan, a place where the firm from Mantua, which has been operating in the office furniture sector for almost 50 years, maps working areas using colour, customizes all coordinated finishes, expresses flexibility and aesthetic lightness in its collections, uses transparent colour to delimit open spaces in a most original way.
These are only few of the concepts/products proposed by Manerba, a firm which is managed by a team of businesswomen, Federica, Elisa and Grazia Manerba, a fact that is very rare in the technocratic sector of office furniture.
The office as seen by Manerba is the expression of a new concept of working areas, with its spontaneously feminine look, a new environment which has been created by studying not only product innovation, but every single combination of colour, material and finish, achieving expressive flexibility in design, aesthetic appearance and relational aspects. Under the art direction of architect Raffaella Mangiarotti, a special abacus has been projected that allows us to use the same colour on very different supports: from table and wall profiles to glass partition walls, laminate surfaces and even the fabrics covering both chairs and furniture accessories (and who deals with colour well knows how difficult it is to obtain monochromatic effect on different materials).
All this is developed on a wide and extremely competitive range of colours.
If someone could be confused by such a wide choice, there are already prepared proposals of combinations, with solutions that shift from achromatic tones to bright colours.

In the entrance of the showroom there is a lounge area, where you are welcomed by soft forms of the “Bague” sofa and armchair, whose structure is composed by a natural solid wood frame as well as the armrest, to which a chair covered by fabric is fastened.
Besides the chairs and sofa, the tables of “Reflection” collection are the summary of the colour/material study: bright circle tops in extra bright tempered glass, which reflects the chromatic effects of shiny and satin lacquering, with painting in 10 original colour tones: light blue, dark blue, emerald green, black, dark brown, grey, white, ruby red and sand.
Legs in steel profile are artisan made in their vintage black, vintage bronze, satin gold, satin copper and shiny brass.
This room is close to a hall where the choice of the collections shown is concentrated on more functional aspects: a practical example of customized executive office (the “Revo” table with white top, copper frame and structure, coordinated with the library and the drawers unit) and an example of operative area with a “K-Word” with glass desk and drawer unit tops in dark blue colour together with a “T-leg” table, whose height can be electrically regulated.
Between these two areas, there is the “Wallsystem” wall, that is the system of internal mobile partitions which divides spaces with the colour, combining walls and furniture, architectonic elements and contents. Colour lines that light up the environment and make you forget the anonymous glass cubes.
